The X-ray examination is one of dentistry’s indispensable cornerstones.
Without X-rays, much would remain hidden beneath the surface of the teeth and gums. For a long time, however, X-rays were associated with radiation exposure, which suggested that the technology should be used sparingly.
Thanks to technological advances, this no longer has to be the case: digital X-ray techniques reduce radiation exposure by up to 90 percent and offer higher-accuracy images to boot. Other advantages: you no longer have to wait for the images, but have them on the screen immediately. And the environment also benefits, because conventional X-rays produce chemical waste, while digital X-rays do not. All good enough reasons for us to work with digital X-ray technology in our practice as well.
